Go with your gut.
I knew right away this was going to be a special one. Sometimes you just get that feeling. Early on into filming, I decided to take a more hands-off approach in my directing style, as the less I talked, the more Scootie opened up. What resulted was a beautiful interview that is human and raw and relatable.
This is a piece I will forever be proud of. It's authentic in every way, and you walk away feeling like you know this artist on a deeper level.
